A little late on Ramadan!

Sometimes, things don’t go as planned… sometimes?  No, most of the time would be a better use here. There are a lot of things to be said and discussed but, once you get a platform to voice them, suddenly they stop coming. Frustrating! Same thing happens here, now beyond that is a blog all the voices that made it so amazing sounds feeble to me. Maybe, it’s Ramadan and that’s why! I am more concentrated towards other duties that I have to perform. Anyway, let’s talk about the Holy Month of RAMADAN. It all about not eating and drinking from Suhoor (sehri) to Iftaar (iftari). It also abstaining from all haram things and some halal things as well. It is us preparing for the coming months to be better Muslims. It is about being concerned towards those who are in this hunger state for all year. Now, to make most of your time, plan accordingly! Heavy work should be done after iftari. And light work and all pray and recite Quran should be during your roza. Drink a lot of water d

SUNDAY 'BACHAT' BAZAARS

Once upon a time, when the actual bazaars were starting to charge higher prices, in Phase 8, the Sunday bazaar took place which provided all kinds of actual and 2 nd hand materials in affordable price. The price was so affordable that soon all the housewives and children would badger their husbands and fathers to give up there Sundays in order to soak in sun and drench in sweat to either get a branded bag more than half the price of actual or buy sneakers in ‘almost’ free pricing strategy! Soon, the popularity were such that not only you could get branded and foreign stuff, you could get the ‘Pakistani’ stuff easily too. The sales man put stalls of carpet to cutlery and anything to everything could be found there. Such was the vibe that it was made into a proper market. When at first you get all dirty and sweaty, they made lanes and benches and food court for people to enjoy. When you first don’t even bathe when coming to Sunday bazaars because you would anyway get dirty, people

It's all about Books.

"A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies." George Martin. He says it right. For me, it's a door way to that world I am reading. It is so amazing to be anyone and be anything you wish for. It is like you live with them. And a picture starts playing in your mind as the story unfolds. True Believer by Nicholas Sparks  Angels and Demons by Dan Brown.  My two favorite books to read. Sometimes, when I feel like nothing is interesting enough to do. I read these. They never bore me. What Is so Interesting about them? Well, its the fact that i find history of Illuminati quite interesting and true believer just makes me realize that there are so many places people can find. just simply find magic in simple places. What's Left Us by Aislinn Hunter. When Breathe Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi These are the two books, I am currently reading. What's left us is a collection of short stories and a nov

Caught Up In A Whirlpool...

Sometimes, you are so caught up in up your own mind that even small things either upset you or make you want to quit. Not life! Just quit as in you know how we shut down the computer/laptop so they could cool down and relax. That kind of quitting! I always wonder about the fact that why are we answerable to other people. We do have our own life, don’t we? OK, be answerable to your mother, father, and siblings or spouse because they tend to care. But, why all other? People are so naïve that they don't look beyond past them. And neither have they looked into themselves nor what they are doing. But, they need to criticize. On you, on your looks, on your ways and all. they cannot move without it. No! Who gave them the right to judge people? May be I do that too. May be I judge people too and make comments about them. I do. But, there is a fine line between shaming and commenting. Like complimenting or sarcastic complimenting. We are all like this but then why we all should

Easy Cooking! White Sauce...

The Best Recipe for the WHITE sauce. I love cooking and experimenting. And today, when I was making a vegetable and chicken pasta, I made a WHITE sauce to compliment it. By far, it is the amazing recipe I came up with! My mom and my siblings ate it with such relish that they went so far to lick their plates clean. I was so angry to myself, for not taking pictures so I could post it for you guys. But, rest assured I would soon, Insha’Allah!! Well, the recipe goes… Ingredients: 1 tablespoon Butter 1 teaspoon cooking oil 1 teaspoon caraway seeds 1 teaspoon onion seeds 2 cloves crushed garlic 2 tablespoon flour 1 cup milk (or more) Half bunch of spring onion A handful of black olives Salt to taste Black pepper to taste Recipe: 1.    In a pan, put butter and cooking oil and put it to heat, when it starts bubbling, put caraway seeds, onion seeds and crushed garlic. Sauté it till it is fragrant. 2.   After this put flour and make a dough kind

It's all about Biryani!

Biryani Case Study Making biryani today at home made me think of a blog entry. If you live in Pakistan and aren’t familiar with biryani, than you are not Pakistani at all (may be it is saying much, but truth is hard). Biryani is loved by everyone in Pakistan and everywhere else in the world and so are the versions that are loved. From Sindh to Hyderabad to Bombay, all the version are being loved and liked by all ages. I remember when I was a small kid, biryani was an occasional treat. I used to beg my mother to make me one and she said it takes time. “No beta, biryani takes 3 hours and I have a lot of work.” My mom used to say. Chapter closed. Now, people make biryani in 1 hour and well, they are not that good. Either ‘Thumbs up’ or ‘thumbs down’. Sindhi or Hyderabadi biryani , to me it sounds the same and smells the same. Taste changes as you differ the layering process. Some says that hyderabadi is made only from yogurt and no tomatoes are used. Some says that Sindhi biry

How to De-Stress? Part 1

Hiya, If you type in the search bar of any search engine, it would give you numerous ways to de-stress your life. Some work for some, some work for others and some work for nobody. De stressors is a name given to those remedies or ways that make you calm and peaceful and pull the stress out of you. Let’s talk about some common and uncommon ways. Exercise There are numerous people who are affected by stress and to de stress themselves, they opt for exercise. Whether it be a jog on the tread or yoga, cardio or weight resistance. It does help in making you feel good about yourself. You vent out anger by vigorously working out or simply punching the bag. But, for me, this is a total loss (sometimes) as I am really too distracted by my thoughts. Beach Long walk on beaches are a really a plus point. On crack of dawn or for a sunset scene, both time of the days are pretty stress reliever. Bare foot makes you re attach yourself to earth. The sound of the waves make yo

Welcome to My Beyond Blog

Hiya, For a long time now, I wanted to start my own Blog, but, I couldn’t get the motivation to start it. I was really afraid of ‘being rejected’. Then, I thought why not make one and see how it feels and who and how it is welcomed. How can you be afraid when you haven’t experienced it yet, and this is no sin, right? So, thus the name ‘Beyond That’ as it selflessly shows that you can dream, achieve and feel good about it. It’s all about positivity. Well, so what is here that may interest my readers, 1.      The new ways to cope with life and be more open about it 2.     The ways in which we can open up our thoughts and be more creative in what we have to say 3.     My weight loss journey, how it helps me and how may it help you 4.     The wonderful reasons of writing as I have a hundred and thousands of abstracts waiting to be read and admired (I think so!) 5.     A lot of fun facts, opinions, statements and dairy entries that ranges from fashion to beauty and cutlery t
