Hiya,
If you type in the
search bar of any search engine, it would give you numerous ways to de-stress
your life. Some work for some, some work for others and some work for nobody.
De stressors is a
name given to those remedies or ways that make you calm and peaceful and pull
the stress out of you. Let’s talk about some common and uncommon ways.
Exercise
There are numerous
people who are affected by stress and to de stress themselves, they opt for
exercise. Whether it be a jog on the tread or yoga, cardio or weight
resistance. It does help in making you feel good about yourself. You vent out
anger by vigorously working out or simply punching the bag. But, for me, this is
a total loss (sometimes) as I am really too distracted by my thoughts.
Beach
Long walk on
beaches are a really a plus point. On crack of dawn or for a sunset scene, both
time of the days are pretty stress reliever. Bare foot makes you re attach
yourself to earth. The sound of the waves make you feel relax. Stretch here if
you can!
Connecting
yourself to ‘The Thing’
There is always
someone or something that makes you relax, makes you want to melt down after a
stressful day. Be it a movie, toy, friend, family or your spouse.
Here, I may like
to talk about connecting spiritually, you may be of any religion but connecting
mentally can be a real stress reliever. It can take your stress away from you forever.
Prostrating, Bowing, or even putting your hands together in prayer can make you
feel strong physically and mentally.
(Disclaimer: I am
not talking about any particular religion, everyone is free to believe in
whatever they want. I respect everyone views and this is not for any
arguments.)
Stretching while
in bed.
This mostly helps
in de stressing physically, after you come from work. There are so many good stretches
videos online. Pick one and try after a long day from work. It helps!
Get Offline
Being socially
active can be a disadvantage. Go for a internet detox every month for a week. So
long? What? Really, its easy. Will power!! I have tried it and it works but
then you get on to loads of notification and the enticing ride begins but than
here come “De-cluttering’ where you need to prioritize even the social content
you are interested in.
